Students will attend the summer school program located at Delaware School. The full-day program will run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Students can enter the building at 7:45 AM at designated doors (2, 3, & 4). Those who would like breakfast can get a "grab and go meal" and proceed to their classrooms to enjoy the breakfast in the classroom. Lunch and a snack will also be served daily.

Arrival
• Car riders and walkers may enter along the west side of the building facing the back playground beginning at 7:45 AM. Car riders should be dropped off on the south side of the building on Delaware Street. Students can enter the school property via the gate to the back playground at the corners of Delaware and Elliot Streets. The portion of Delaware Street where students can be dropped off each day is a one-way street running east to west between Garvin and Governor Streets. Cars can enter Delaware Street from Garvin Street. Bus riders will be dropped off in the back parking lot off of Columbia Street.

• Current first and second graders will enter at Door 3 & 4. All other students will enter at Door 2.

• If your child arrives after 8:15, please walk him/her up to Door 2, and press the “Ring” Doorbell. Please wait with your child until an adult lets him/her into the building. Door 1, our front door, at the corners of North Garvin and Delaware Streets will NOT be accessible due to construction.

Dismissal
• Students will remain in their summer school cohorts during the dismissal process.

• If you are walking to pick up your student(s), please display a sign with the following: grade level(s) and name(s) of your student(s) - (first name(s) & last name(s).

• If you are driving to pick up your student(s), please remain in your vehicle. Please ensure your vehicle is parallel to the sidewalk on the north side of Delaware Street, next to the school, and pull all the way down Delaware St., heading west, toward Governor St. Please display the grade level(s) and name(s) of your student(s) - (first name(s) & last name(s) - in the car window. Students will exit the school property via the gate to the back playground at the corners of Delaware and Elliot Streets. Students will then make their ways to their cars. Please make sure your child/children can enter your vehicle on the passenger side parallel to the sidewalk next to school property.

• The portion of Delaware St. where students can be picked up each day is a one-way street running east to west between Garvin and Governor Streets. Cars can enter the one-way street of Delaware Street from northbound Garvin Street.

• As buses arrive, bus numbers will be announced, and students will follow their designated routes from their classrooms and/or outside spaces to go to the bus loading zone.

Early Pickups
• If you need to pick up your child prior to 3:00 for an appointment, please park on the south side of Delaware Street (opposite the sidewalk adjacent to school property), walk up to Door 2, and press the “Ring” Doorbell or call 812-435-8227. Please wait for an adult to walk your child to you. Door 1, our front door, at the corners of North Garvin and Delaware Streets will NOT be accessible due to construction.
