Virtual Learning Days

Delaware's COVID-19 Virtual Lessons

A Message From Mrs. Underwood:

Dear Delaware Parent(s)/Guardians(s),

As you may know the EVSC will make up COVID-19 days for the remainder of the school year via Virtual Learning lessons.  Although you may be concerned regarding your student regressing in school or missing out on curriculum, but there is no need to worry!  Delaware teachers are working hard to ensure that your student continues to get the best education while also continuing to support him/her at home!!!  Each teacher has prepared tasks for Reading/ELA, Math, Science, and/or Social Studies.  Related Arts teachers have also prepared lessons for Art, Music, and PE.  Assignments for Virtual Learning are posted to the left, and information for each grade level can be accessed by clicking on the Virtual Assignments tab.  Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy Services can also be found under the Virtual Assignments tab.  Through Virtual Learning assignments, your student will also have access to a daily check-in that he/she can complete.  Miss Chambers, Mrs. Greenfield, Mrs. Hamilton, Mrs. Rennels, and I will be checking these daily.  Delaware will be having Virtual Learning Spirit Days, too!  The themes for spirit days can be found on this site and on Facebook as well.  Please be sure to also check out Delaware’s Facebook page each and every day for the Delaware Daily!  The Delaware Daily can also be found by clicking on the following link:  On this YouTube Channel students can find The Delaware Daily, Videos, and Playlists that include: WNIN Virtual Lessons and EVSC SEL Curriculum.

During Virtual Learning, the state requires that students do the assignments given to them by their teachers, just as they would on a normal school day – except that all or parts of the lessons involve accessing online learning systems or other Internet-related resources.  Teachers have been in contact with you and will continue to be available to assist students.  Your child’s teacher has communicated the best way to reach him/her and/or other teachers at your child’s grade level.  If you have any questions regarding assignments, please reach out to your child's teacher(s).  Teachers' email address links can be located on the Delaware Site under About Us and Staff Directory. Teacher contact information can also be found under each grade level’s information under the Virtual Assignments tab.  Teachers will be frequently checking their emails, phones, Google Classroom, Facebook, Remind101, etc. and will be available to provide any necessary assistance during this Virtual Learning time.  Your child’s teacher has already notified students and families with any directions, links, or materials pertinent to completing the Virtual Learning lesson.  However, we as a school will continue to be in contact with you and your student!

For those who are unable to access assignments via the Internet, please utilize EVSC’s collaboration with WNIN.  The schedule is below, and your child’s teacher has communicated with you the best way to verify your student’s participation in the EVSC/WNIN/PBS lessons.
